We are so pleased to recognize Holley Brimhall in this month’s teacher spotlight! Her nominator raved that “Holley consistently structures her class in such as way that engages all students including struggling learners. All students are engaged in the mathematics in her classroom. Additionally, she monitors their discussions and asks focusing questions to deepen student understanding of the content”.
Holley graduated from the University of Utah with her teaching degree in Mathematics and Health Education. She has been teaching since 2012 when she first started at Midvale Middle School, later moving to Jordan High School (and has been there ever since, go Beetdiggers!).
“I love seeing the ‘lightbulb’ moments when students see the success of their efforts and excel at math. I love to try to change kids’ minds about math being too hard. I love to show them they are all brilliant and can succeed with hard work and effort”. – Holley Brimhall
Thank you for being an outstanding educator in Mathematics Holley!
